DescriptionSo I was able to spend a lot of time talking with Mike and his wife Christine at the show in Phoenix in late January, 2007. He was doing a lot of free head sketches (99% Hellboy, natch) since that show is heavy for anime and manga, and allows more time for "normal" comic book people. So as the end of the show rolls around, I went to my car, got a magazine backing board, and since he finally had no one but me at the table, he was nice enough to do a cool little Fafhrd sketch for me. Always loved that book, some of his most beautiful art ever. The actual art is about 4" X 5", but it looks real nice matted and framed.Social/Sharing |

Mike mentioned recently that of all the books he's worked on, if he was unable to do Hellboy for some reason, Fahfrd and the Grey Mouser is the one that he'd love to return to. That definitely says something. Very nice sketch!
