Description

For a short time, the Kubert School was offering up to 100 copies of TEX - a Kubert graphic novel set in the west and published in Slovenia - each with a sketch by Joe.

I was lucky enough to discover this fact from monitoring this board and placed an order for one with Hawkman.

The sketch is really nicely done. How does he do that on the inside front cover without making a mistake? Amazing.

Later, I saw that my image was lifted from this gallery and used as part of the cover to Alter Ego #116. I corresponded with the artist, Daniel James Cox, and picked up the pictures of the cover without its trade dress and of Joe with the Approval Cover.

Anyway, this knocks one more off my list though I'd still buy a free standing one like this if I could find it for sale.

These sketches just get better and better. What a lucky guy you are to have snagged a skecth by a living legend like Joe Kubert. Brilliant Hawkman, from the pose to the wings to EVERYTHING
