DescriptionCheck out this very nice Pinup, which was drawn entirely (Pencils AND INKS) by the great John Romita Sr! This Pinup features a nice large image which anyone who has ever ready a 1960's Amazing Spider-Man comic book would remember......The ever classic scene where Peter Parker first meets Mary Jane Watson! Art is drawn on an 11 by 17 inch art board, and is signed in the artwork as well as at the bottom! Romita also added the words "FACE IT TIGER" in pencil below the inked drawing. The ORIGINAL Amazing Spiderman #42 page where this scene first appeared is entrenched in a collection and would sell for well over 100 thousand dollars if it were ever offered for sale, so this is arguably the only chance you will ever have to owning a penciled and inked piece with this scene, drawn by the great John Romita! It fascinates me how from growing up in the 1970s as a kid with little money, I had to work on my paper route to have funds to buy all of the comics I loved as a kid. And growing older I was able to buy more expensive comics as I saved my money while in the U.S. Army at West Point from 1985-1989 and I was able to finally buy my very first pages of comic art in 1989 and it has been an unbelievable roller coaster ride ever since that point trying to find the Amazing Spiderman #1-297 pages and Spiderman strip art from 1-3-1977 to 11-9-1980 I love so dearly and covet!! |
