Mabry, Doug
My name is Doug, and I'm a manager at a Comic and Records specialty store. I bought my first original art in the mid-80s, but didn't start really collecting until the mid-90s. I don't pick up as much anymore, just because prices have gotten so high. I tend to get commissions of the Marvel (Shazam) Family, Edgar Rice Burroughs John Carter of Mars characters (especially Dejah Thoris), the Marvel Captain Marvel, and Hawkman. Panel pages I collect are 70's Marvels and 80's independents, especially stuff from First or Pacific Comics. My collecting goals are to get a Dave Stevens prelim and a Wrightson page from Swamp Thing #5 (one of the first comics I ever got), as well as stuff from Twisted Tales and Alien Worlds. I sold some stuff in the last few years, though, to pay for my 1960 Cadillac. My other interests lie in collecting music, especially blues.
