As a 13 year old in 1967 I wrote Charles Schulz, Milton Caniff,Johnny Hart,Alfred Andriola and Will Eisner asking for original art.They were all kind enough to respond and I've have been collecting ever since.
The first real live Cartoonist I ever met was Harold Gray at his Winter residence in La Jolla, CA.
