Mike Lilly is a professional artist who started studying comic book art with Carmine Infantino and Howard Post at the School of Visual Arts while interning for Rich Buckler/Visage Studios in the mid 90's.
He has since gone on to work for many major publishers on such titles as Nightwing, Vampirella, Black Terror, Detective Comics and Annihilation Conquest Quasar, to name a few.
Mike won a Best Black and White Illustration Art Show Award of Excellence from I-CON 25 for his work in Vampirella Revelation.
In 2005, he collaborated with interior design company Kreiss Enterprises designing life size panels depicting an entire comic book story installed onto the walls of Loren Kreiss's New York City apartment. This pop-art piece was featured in The New York Times Real Estate section, The Financial Times Style section, Ocean Drive Magazine, Wizard Magazine and The New York Post.
He's also done original sketch card art for such licenses as Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Universal Monsters Frankenstein, Vampirella and The Avengers.
Besides mainstream comic book publishers, his client list includes NIKE, Scholastic, MakerBot and work with Stan Lee for the NHL.
Currently Mike is working on covers on the Grimm Fairy Tales line for Zenescope, a biblical adaptation of Noah for Kingstone Comics, sketch card work for Rittenhouse Archives, a revamp of his co-creator owned comic The Mercury Chronicles as well as many private commissions.
