Description

Years ago I asked Jones to do a portrait of my 6 year old daughter from a photograph...Jones had his nervous breakdown, and 3+ years past...one day, this arrives--it isn't bad, but...a collector friend emailed me after seeing it on Jone's site and asked 'whose the 60 year old with dreadlocks'-- hey pal, that's my DAUGHTER! I told my daughter she might look like that in 52 years.

frankly if she looks like that at 52 she needs to let me know her trade secret. with the exception of the hair the face looks young, I think it's a beautiful piece

I think the collector friend who thought she looked 60 might have cracked vision. Its a piece of artwork thats been taken to a certain point and just stopped. More than a sketch but not as fully realised as much of his other work. Delightful painting. Anything I have ever seen by this artist has something to offer the viewer.
