DescriptionHere is another page from The Fly #8 by the incomparable Steve Ditko. This is the final page to the (rather weird, as the hero himself admits) story but has all the elements that Ditko is famous for - from the hero in dynamic action to the actual people themselves. All classic Ditko and very recognizable. Social/Sharing |

Man...I neee a Ditko page....Congrats.
Many thanks, Jordan! Although I love his ASM pages, those are beyond my financial reach but pages such as these (whilst not inexpensive) are pretty nice as well!

An insect based superhero by Steve Ditko! He's still drawing it like it's the 60's with that classic line and fashions! We even get some Betty and J Jonah types on the page!

Truly a wonderful page that has all the hallmarks of classic Ditko Spider-Man art, but at much more affordable prices. A nice companion to the other page!

Many thanks, Rubén! Prices for Ditko artwork have understandably shot through the roof but you are absolutely correct in pointing out that, on a relative level, prices for pages such as these are still more affordable. And yes, this page is somewhat different from the previous page and complements it well, in my view.

Classic Ditko storytelling! Congrats!
Many thanks, Rick! I think that Robin Snyder - his close collaborator - was the writer for this story but, as you correctly point out, Ditko pulled it off splendidly as only he could!

Classic Steve Ditko page. You don't see Ditko pages for the Fly very often, but they are extraordinary. This page really shows all the things Ditko is famous for--from his amazing action scenes to his quieter scenes of people interacting. Subsitute Spider-Man for the Fly here and this could easily be a page from the Amazing Spider-Man.

Thanks very much, Bill! Indeed, this page - as you have very perceptively pointed out - runs the gamut in terms of Ditko's wide artistic range.
