Description

Lovely and deeply inked drawing used as the back cover to Burn's fantastic occasionally serialized book Big Baby, published in 1999. Burns like many of us was fascinated with model kits of the 60s and 70s... The illustration is of his imaginary model toy parts.... these are more from his ID than his KIT though.... His work here, as usual, is a wonderful intersection of 'safe' 'clean' rendering and yet mixed with a hidden foreboding creepiness that's very effecting and appealing. Charles Burns really is a master and I'm happy to have this great example.

Flawless execution of inks by Burns. It is an eclectic toy collection of someone who loves the monsters, offbeat bootlegs, and unafraid to go off script to kit bash various models.
