Description

SO sometimes I look at something and say 'I don't quite get but I like it' and you buy it. I did that with this fantastic work. This photo hardly does justice to the disturbing beauty of this very large oil painting. I'll get this framed and enjoy being disturbed by it. It was done for the rock group TOOL for one of their music videos.

Fantastic! Everyone should have a surreal Phil Hale skull on their wall. I love them all, but this one has more color and opaquely painted areas than usual.

Unsettling yet strangely alluring. Evokes a Cenobite or Lovecraft creature, if painted by Francis Bacon.

Ooo that's a nice one. Not a lot of thick painted hale head paintings out there. I like how the edge of the face on the left falls off and the blue vibrates around the forehead. Amazing what a little touch of color adds.
