DescriptionOn very, VERY rare occasions I've looked at a piece of art after awhile and thought 'Why did I buy that?'. On the other hand, there are pieces that, no matter how long I've had them, are still as exciting as when they first arrived. This is one of the latter.

If any one picture of rising, rotting flesh can be called "beautiful," this one's it.

Wrightson is the guy who can make ugly beautiful.

What a fantastic piece of art! Also very cool to have his two signature styles together in one piece.

I remember when this cover came out (back when this was TBG rather than CBG I believe) What a great piece of art!

WOW! I remember seeing this image used to advertise CBG well into the 80s....it creeped me out then, and creeps me out now. Not much creeps me out, so that says a lot for this bit of amazing work by the macabre master-VERY NICE!

This is wonderfully creepy... I owned it at one time, and I only sold it (at Sotheby's) to buy my first home... PLEASE let me know if you ever decide to sell this.

I agree with you, we can't get tired of this exceptional drawing and magnificent brush inking. Thanks for sharing this gem. I believe it was published in a book I have on Wrightson.

One of the great Wrightson images, and from his best period!

I had one HECK of a time finding an image of the published cover online, then finally, The Comic Book Realm came through for me.
