DescriptionThis is my third in a series of five commissions. You've already seen the Stjepan Sejic and the Gary Frank. Two more in the works. Let me preface this one by saying I LOVED Johns/Kolins on Flash. They brought more depth, not just to Wally but to everyone. I always wanted a good Kolins commission. When I found a good contact for him, I jumped at the chance. For those sho know me, I always give 3-5 choices to the artist. Scott had the Thing, Pied Piper, Captain Cold, and Barry the Blue Lantern Flash. He like the last one the most but I suggested doing the split costume. I liked the way it turned out. I would love opinions if I should get this inked. It would look cleaner BUT looks great now as well.Social/Sharing |

Fred - this is very impressive - I thought his Batman commission for you was great, but I really love this one!

Fred--terrific piece! And as for my comments: Leave it as it is! :)

Absolutely gorgeous. You know, you can always get someone like Bob Almond to ink a blue-line copy, and that way the original pencils will remain intact.

Fantastic choice! Scott really knocked this out of the park. I'm wrestling with the inking question myself but leaning towards keeping the original pencils. Whatever your choice, Blue Lantern Flash looks great! :)

Kolins had such a wonderful run on the Flash back in the day, with his ability to convey the speed of the character one of the highlights. That energy that Kolins brought to the book is on full display here.

Well, DC keeps bringing him back for Limited Series or small story arcs. . They realize that people love his work. You might want to look at the Captain Cold Circus commission in my other folder
