Hints of Gorey yes, but John is most definitely his own man. His sense of humor is more overt than Gorey's, but brilliant. His rendering much more imaginative. Absolutely one of the best artists (even though he doesn't refer to himself as such) out there today. Congrats on getting such a nice example of his unique talent!

Man, do i love this guys work. You hit the nail on the head - a modern day Edward Gorey.
