DescriptionStuart was cool enough to do up this Harley Quinn for me at the 2011 SDCC. Stuart is wonderfully collaborative, so I asked him if he could show the moment when an enraged Harley is ready to pop a cap in the Joker before he talks her down. I really like the emotional content that Stuart can put into a picture and asked that she not be wearing a mask and that the gun not be the big cartoonish one that she is often depicted with. His initial concern was that there might not be enough left for the viewer to identify her as Harley Quinn but that he would come up with something great. As usual, I was thrilled with the result. He caught the emotion that I was looking for including trying to make the bottom of her eyes look like they were welling up with tears. He created a lot of texture in the hair, cuffs, balls and costume to emphasize those "Harley Quinn" identifiers. I would highly suggest looking up Stuart for a commission, he is super nice, will work hard to give you what you want, is willing to talk about the art before and after and is just an all-around great guy. Without hesitation, I had to 'fave' this. A perfect Harley rendition. Love that it's a no holds barred, kick ass tribute to her.

Given my unusual request for this piece he created something that left me speechless when I picked her up.

And one that I wish I would have thought of myself! I love Stuart's work, and I know how you feel. When he created my Witchblade, I was stunned at his ability to capture exactly what I wanted. Stuart is an all around awesome guy.
