I had been wanting to get a piece by Betsy Bauer for a while. I love her style and have been following her on twitter since I found her art. Betsy is currently working as a Doodler for Google and a few of her pieces have already been used as the Doodle of the Day on the Google homepage.

When she posted the work in progress picture for this piece that she was doing for Susanita's Little Gallery for the "Sing That Movie!" show I knew that was the piece that I wanted. When Susan listed the pieces on her website I immediately contacted her about purchasing it. I am thrilled to be able to have gotten this amazing piece.

The piece is absolutely adorable. I love Betsy's take of Princess Aurora. What I love even more about the piece is that she was channelling Eyvind Earle when she did it. Just looking at it you can immediately see Eyvind Earle's influence which is very easy to see. Just looking at the tree designs and of course the character designs you can immediately see it. Of course Betsy put her style in there as well which can really be seen in Princess Aurora's face and the animals. I just love everything about it. An outstanding addition to the collection.
