Description

Joe kindly agreed to do a second sketch for me featuring Enemy Ace (Von Hammer) and he added the black wolf when I mentioned Von Hammer's walks with the black wolf were a lasting memory of his work on the book. I picked up the piece during a visit to Joe's school following SDCC 2010 and was stunned when Joe refused to accept payment for this wonderful piece! This one is destined for the framers.

Enemy Ace is my favorite work by Joe Kubert, It's rare to see art related to that. And the wolf is a nice detail, changing the expected biplane. Congrats, Royd!
