Description

I love the fact that the New 52 has included Apollo & Midnighter together with their counterparts, Superman and Batman in the same universe. Even more, I love the fact that we get to see their relationship develop over time, culminating (hopefully) to their eventual marriage (seen already in the Wildstrom imprint).

Growing up, I would see the Young Romance comics for girls and thought, where are the boy love comics? Now they are everywhere from Yaoi to Archie Comics. Here in this short "Seoul Brothers", we see Apollo & Midnighter at the very beginning of their attraction to each other. We see flirting, Apollo & Midnighter-style.

I still flirt with my baby and work every day to make it new and fresh like the first day we met. Like Apollo, I didn't want to seem interested in him and was standoff-ish, trying to be cool and not too interested, only I was all too interested. I wondered if he could know what I was really feeling--from my body language and my choice of words. I am pretty transparent and any detective worth his salt probably could have seen that I wanted him.

Four years later, we have been partners for two years. One day we hope to be married and to build a home/family together. With Gay Marriage Equality, that dream can now be a reality.

Thanks to Peter Milligan for a beautiful crafted story of first attraction that rings true to these two Stormwatch lovers and to Simon Bisley for some gorgeous pencil, pen, marker work and some generous Apollo gluteus maximus !!!
