DescriptionThis is the second commission completed for Colin in Canada. This is actually the first piece that I have done, beginning to end, since having my first eye injection. I couldn't be happier with getting back to a, somewhat, normal schedule. It just feels good to be able to work again.I am usually very critical of my work, but I really like the way this one came out. I might be a little sentimental since this is the first piece I've been able to complete since my injection, but I find it to be one of the best pieces (in my opinion) I have ever done. I can't remember when I've drawn so much shiny metal! Colin wanted Magneto with some Sentinel parts lying around (especially heads), but I went with an idea to have him looking like he is walking right THROUGH the head! All these pieces of metal, bits of electronics... Even the Sentinel's hollowed out face! I like to leave a little to the imagination, so I didn't want just a bunch of heads floating around behind him. I like to get close to the action! Looks like the only life left in this Sentinel is a little glow left in his exposed eye. I really hope Colin likes this piece! As always, I would love to hear what you guys think. Keep your eyes peeled on my gallery in the coming weeks for some more new work. There will be a lot of it. I have a Psylocke vs. Sentinel piece coming. Wolverine and the Punisher duking it out. Dr. Strange, Daredevil and Vision. Not to mention a Wolverine, Archangel and Omega Red piece that I have been dying to add final pencils to. Add to that a Lobo piece, Spawn, Colossus... even a Creature From The Black Lagoon mirroring Todd McFarlane's famous (iconic) Spaider-man #1 cover! As you can see, I've got a lot of work to finish up and get on here. Thanks again for the kind words, thoughts and prayers for my eye problems. I am back baby! Slowly but surely! God bless all out there on CAF! Social/Sharing |
