DescriptionBefore Russ Cochran began his legendary EC Portfolio series and subsequently commissioned Marie Severin's hand colored EC covers series, he printed his first EC collectible- a large black and white high quality print to the cover of Haunt of Fear 18, which Bill Gaines has gifted to him. Shot from the original art, he had Severin hand cover 10 of these, presumably to test the market for this type of product. This extremely rare EC collectible is #4 in that series.I firmly believe Russ was a visionary whose taste, foresight and continuous auctions helped establish the modern comics art market.Social/Sharing |
