Description

A painted page (47) from the master's El Dorado - El Delirio de Lope de Aguirre. I have many Breccia originals, but this is the first color work I've managed to snag. No one but Breccia can make your eye believe a wax resist image is actually collage, or that a bloom of watercolor is torn paper, or that a razor's ink-gorged incision is a brushstroke. The master at play.

If only I could get my hands on one of his Lovecraft pages!

Museum worthy with the themes that require the surrealism and distortion of reality that is a departure from his realistic illustration pen and ink work.
