DescriptionAs I mentioned in another post, I am a huge Geof Isherwood fan. I also love the inks of Bob Almond. This piece is the brainchild of my friend Damon Owens. It is one of my three favorite Isherwood pieces of all time (check out Damon's collection for the Freedom's Five and Liberty Legion pieces). I was thrilled when Damon gave me the opportunity to purchase it.I have added it to my Render Evil for Evil gallery (although that label clearly does not apply to the Falcon) because it reflects the attitude of Crimson Avenger. This piece inspired both my Crimson Avenger single figure commission by Geof as well as my Crimson Justice Render Evil for Evil piece by Steve Erwin. Purchased from Damon in 2019. Damon's description: "I'd been wanting to do a commission featuring the Falcon, as well as one featuring Crimson Avenger, although not necessarily the two of them together. When I was trying to think of a foe for the Falcon, I couldn't help but think of Morgan, the mob boss who Falc often squared off with back in the 70s issues of CAPTAIN AMERICA AND THE FALCON. Morgan was one of those organized crime figures who the law knew was guilty of a lot of stuff, but could never pin anything on him. The perfect guy for someone like the Crimson Avenger to go after. So I came up with the idea of her doing just that, with the Falcon trying to intercede because, well, he'd realize that even a slimeball like Morgan was entitled to due process Kudos to Geof Isherwood and Bob Almond on a superb piece." As a bronze-age Marvel fan this was geek treasure for me to work on for both the characters and the great work of my friend Geof, someone I've inked a few times and am always satidfied with the collaborative results. Bob Almond
