DescriptionThis is the one page that Neal thought I pretty much got right. I think my inks were just organic enough to suit him, and more than faithful to his pencils and his aesthetic. I'll take any victory I can get!Social/Sharing |

Love the dynamism of Neal's pencils and of course the finishing. Modern yet still undoubtedly Neal. Must be alot of fun for you to ink over one of your heroes!

This is so exciting to see!! First of all - does everyone know Neal is going to be 70 next year!?! Jeezus Christmas - the guy has still got it!! Scott, your inks are stellar on these pages (this one's my fave). So cool. Glad you decided to take on this project - for better or worse. I've been buying the books for the art alone (because god knows you can't follow the story!!) Thanks for sharing these - always fun (and educational) to see the behind the scenes stuff, and to see how much a great inker can improve the work. Looking forward to more!

I love this one. It's faithful to Neal's aesthetic no doubt but it also looks a lot like classic Scott Williams. It's perfect.

Hey, Scott! Wow your inks make Neal's work POP! Love to see your flair on top of Adams. Excellent work, my friend.

This is my favorite page of the whole book. Thanks for including the penciled pages so we can see the process. Neal's pencils seem to be effortless, he's just that good. I wonder if you and Jim influenced Neal a bit over the years or if his changes in style were just coincidental. Either way I admire an artist like Neal who doesn't rest on his laurels and keep's evolving with the times. Your inks are just out of this world!I think it's the Best page in a book filled with amazing artwork. Neal really came back guns blazing. Hope you ink more of his work someday,
