Description

Recent acquisition from Heritage Auctions.

Their description: "The...piece of original art is a gouache painting that features the British flag, an escaping figure, and a Nazi submarine. The image area is approximately 18" x 19" on the illustration board. The board has handling and corner wear issues."

I have identified the movie as 'Eye of the Needle' (Richard Marquand - the movie that got him the gig directing 'Return of the Jedi' - with Donald Sutherland and Kate Nelligan, 1981), and the illustration appears to be for the European release.

Can anyone help with the artist? Probably an American.
