DescriptionThose that know me (and a lot of people growing up reading comics in the early 80s) know that the Wolfman/Perez duo symbolized a lot of the stories and art that have such fond memories from youth. I bought this comic off the spinner racks at my local 7-Eleven (probably via BMX transportation with allowance money for doing chores around the house). So to pull out my childhood copy and place it next to this, well that was worth every bit of the many pennies that it cost to procure this Cover. So a mini-grail piece (well considering Michael L owns most of my grail pieces , this one will definitely fit the bill). The really cool thing about this cover is that it looks just as good, if not better upside down. Congrats!!Hey Michael thanks, well considering the Avengers piece you just picked up, I'm sure the temptation was lessened as you were probably still in awe of that piece, so congrats to you too. Most times I'm hoping you are out of the country with no internet service when a piece is up for auction :)) Thanks again and Congrats on the Avengers Grail.

Always loved that cover. Striking, very brutal for the time and very different than what was being done at the time :)

No one could top the X-Men in the late 70's. But in the early 80's, along came Wolfman/Perez and left everyone saying, Claremont/Byrne WHO? I just pulled out the first 50 issues from my storage a few weeks back and this cover brings back so many great memories! A striking image that left me stunned when I first saw it on the stands. Congrats!

I've had many NTT covers in my collection over the years (including this one) and visually this is one of the very best...congrats!

This is one fan-freakin-tastic cover! I was never impressed by the amount of character Perez could squeeze on the page. While i love his rendering it is his ability to create drama in his compositions and how it gave a dark tone to these 4-color cartoon characters that grabbed me.

I would love this as well. Amazing cover. I have a DPS and Splash from George but no cover.

OMG... Grail alert! I can say in all seriousness that George Perez single-handedly encouraged and nurtured my interest in the comics art form, with his NTT covers as a highlight of that era. I've since been all over the map as far as comics interests, but it all began with George P. Love this cover and congrats on being its proud owner!
