DescriptionDay 01. Thirty-one days of Star Wars (2025 edition).Buckle up Star Wars OA fans, I'm going to do it again. Insanity? Maybe. Too much OA? Likely. Enough with the Star Wars already? Never. To kick off Star Wars month we celebrate the 501st Legion (on 5/01 you see). The 501st Legion is a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization comprised of and operated by Star Wars fans. So, we need a page that has some troops with their buckets on. Han Solo smooth-talks wary Stormtroopers into sparing Chewbacca, deflecting tension as Chewie lies unconscious on this page from "Way of the Wookiee", a story that was initially printed for Marvel UK, and was not a part of the Marvel run in the US (although it was published on this side of the pond in other formats eventually). Helluva way to kick off Star Wars month with some Infantino/Marcos UK love! Let the celebrations begin! I will try to keep up, key word there is "try"....

When Han's asleep and Chewie is at the controls on a cross system smuggling run, this is clearly what is blasting in the Falcon's cockpit. And he dreams of finding a Wookiee sized pair of those striped pants.

I had to look at that last panel several times to realize 'roarrrt' wasn't a farting sound effect...

Wow, what a nifty way to celebrate the 501st Legion, on 5/01! So creative, Jeff. And to do it with a page by the legendary Carmine Infantino featuring my all-time favourite Star Wars actor and character? Now I know you're really just honoring ME!

Han had just stun blasted him a page or two before, so I'd probably be pouty too. And I have always loved Infantino's take on Wookiees.

Infantino was THE Star Wars artist for me growing up, so always nice to see his work show up on CAF. Great content packed into this page too.
