DescriptionHello? Is this thing on? Testing, one, two. Everything seems to be ready. Is everybody ready? We're sorry for the delay.Hello. It's me. I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to see... some art I've collected. To go over everything. They say that art is supposed to be posted, but I ain't done much posting. This drawing from 2004 was among the very first pieces of art commissioned for my collection. Strange Tales was the granddaddy of Thing team-up books and I hold it in high esteem for the trail it blazed. What a thrill, then, to have Dick Ayers re-visit his work from 1964 with the ever-lovin', blue-eyed Thing and the Human Torch facing off against Paste Pot Pete. And then to guild the lily with incredible inks by Bob McLeod! Life doesn't get much better than this. Rest in peace, Dick. Thanks for everything. Social/Sharing |

Great to have you back! This piece looks great. Too bad Dick and Bob didn't work together more toward the end of Dick's career. Thanks for sharing!

YES, MTIO IS BACK!!!! I had hoped for this day to occur -- what a neat pairing of penciler and inker -- Bob did a great job over Ayers

No Thing team-up left behind! Brilliant pairing of the late, great Dick Ayers and the master, Bob McLeod.
