Description

Years of searching for my ultimate Chaykin grail are now at an end. This is the second of two American Flagg! covers recently acquired.

American Flagg! was the first truly successful independent, creator-owned series. It's set in a dystopian, corporate, and violent future. Not only was it unapologetic for its cynical nature, it celebrated it! It was unlike anything I had ever read at the time and left an indelible mark on me because of its great storytelling.

This cover epitomizes the dystopian American Flagg! future in so many ways... sex, violence, and, my personal favourite... a talking cat named Raul. And I'm super pleased that this particular piece comes complete with the masthead and logo. That, and the g-string is awesome! ;-)
