DescriptionAs I write this I am still reeling from the news of Bernie Wrightson's passing and my heart goes out to his entire family. He was SO great, SO cool, and just an incredibly sweet soul. My expectations when meeting him for the first time were astronomically high and still he managed to exceed them in every way.This is an early 70's portrait by Alan Weiss. I am reminded of Batman #237's "Night of the Reaper" in which Wrightson, Weiss, Gerry Conway and Dick Grayson are together attending Tom Fagan's Halloween bash in Rutland, VT. (Man, I read that book to tatters...) This sketch formerly resided in the collection of the late Alan Kupperberg and I am honored to give it a good home.
