Description

I grew up loving this machanical misfit. Wow, I miss those charlton stories! I'm guessing this was our hero's last appearance to date. I was in 8th grade when this hit the stands. The publisher wanted something with Rog in the re-launching of Eman for first comics, but Byrne was under a contract. However, Byrne said there was enough wiggle room for this gem! Priceless! (FIRST COMICS, 1982, 2nd series) #1 (June 1982)

As a side note this hit the very same month as Fantastic Four #243 (June 1982) "Shall Earth Endure?" featuring GALACTUS cover (John Byrne -writer/artist) appeared on the racks. Say No More! Classic BYRNE period! Quite a busy and productive time for our beloved artist. LONG LIVE BYRNE!

Talk about being late to the party, I just stumbled upon this beauty today. Never even know of this ad! It is a total treat to see this piece, so glad JB agreed to do this fun ad. Beautiful art from the wonderfully talented Mr Byrne! CONGRATS!!!!
