The "Portraits of Mythology" Series (A two paintings set)

Painting title: Circe, the Enchantress
(this listing is for 1 of the 2 paintings I created for the series)

In Greek mythology, Circe was renowned for her vast knowledge of drugs and herbs. Through the use of magical potions and a wand she transformed her enemies, or those who offended her, into animals. She was a minor goddess of magic (or sometimes a nymph, witch, enchantress or sorceress).

This is a painting I created with my very personal watercolor style and was displayed at my permanent art show at the Arnon Art Gallery in Bologna, Italy. Art lovers -as I have been informed- were stepping inside just to ask information about the technique, and check the brush-strokes up close.

Keep in mind: The Photos do not do Justice to the detail and colors of the original art !!!

This is the first time I put this piece up for sale, as it is a portfolio piece that took me about one month to create and is currently part of my private collection. It is unlikely that I will ever be able to find the time to create a similar piece, so this level of detail is unique. The art was created after a model that posed live especially for this piece in my studio.

Medium: Watercolor
Size: 30X40 cm paper

Frame Option: The frame is not included. The art was framed at a frame specialist in Bologna, Italy for my art show. The hand made frame was custom made for this piece, and if you like it I can include it for the cost we were charged by the maker at no profit at all ! The fame cost 100 euros, and I will have to ship with a special service in order to ship more securely such a fragile item!
