My first McCarthy piece!

Ive always admired Brendan McCarthy's time, and take, on Dredd, along with his other 2000ad work, but it wasnt until fairly recently that I also discovered more of his other work outside of the prog. A bit of a (fevered) genius, I think. And more than anything his style makes me smile.
There's a lot to enjoy in Brendan's art.

UPDATE: Thanks to McCarthy superfan David Rees - who contacted Brendan directly, I now know a little more about this sketchbook drawing's history. It turns out that this piece was originally started about 20 years ago, and was only inked and coloured up fairly recently.
(and the colours on this are quite striking, the scan, as always, doesnt quite do it justice).
