"Youll never take me, lawman!" - "we'll see about that!" hah, classic Dredd!

Its been mentioned before (and im just as guilty of the following charge) that Ron didnt get the same amount of fanboy attention as the likes of McMahon, Bolland, Gibbons etc did, but you just cannot deny what a truly fantastic body of work he produced during his time at 2000ad. At one time he held the record for the artist who had drawn Dredd the most, and i wouldnt be suprised if that record still stands.
From the Judge Child Quest to Block Mania, from Otto Sump to the original and best depiction of Marlon "chopper" shakespeare, as well as all the other great stories he drew and the memorable characters he created, this fine artist has helped to broaden and embellish Dredd's universe. A true 2000ad legend and im VERY happy to have some of his art in my collection. :-)

From the early 80's until the late 90's, Dredd appeared in his own comic strip in the pages of the UK newspaper, The Daily Star, and being the 12th episode, this art is an early example of that strip.

Its certainly the earliest strip I have seen and worth getting for the beautiful panel on the lower left.It helps that the rest is wonderful too.
