DescriptionI've been wanting to add a Kyle Hotz Hulk piece to my collection for awhile. Totally dropped the ball when he illustrated an issue on the Immortal Hulk book but thankfully, a good friend offered this to me. In between all the raging Hulk illustrations, I find myself drawn to the somber Hulk once in awhile. The immediate sadness as a result of pummeling his ol' pal is apparent, even while the fresh blood is still dripping from his hands.Scans of Hotz's work rarely do it justice as the fine lines are often lost in his big bold blacks. This is an absolute beauty in person. Thanks again Anthony, I love it! Social/Sharing |

Wow!!!!! This is probably one of my favorite pieces in your entire gallery, color or b&w. Such a powerful scene. The inks and effects are absolutely insane! Man I wish I could see this in person. Wow, wow, wow!

I love that he seems regretful about having to kill Wolverine!

Hotz continues to impress. The though process behind this one harkens back to the core of Hulk stories filled with suffering, remorse, and frustration. I love it. Congrats!

The calm before the storm. A little sadness it seems...the loss of a worthy appointment? Ah, he'll get over it! Nice use of shadow and the claw marks are a nice bonus. Just in time, too, as those are sure to heal any second :) Also that haziness at the bottom right with the white ink...sublimely rendered stuff. Congrats!

Stunning piece by Kyle Hotz. I love this somber moment when the Hulk stops fighting and thinks about what he's done. He's caused a lot of pain and it might be good if he thought about that before he smashed another person's head into a wall. Great pick-up, congrats!

Beautiful but tense piece of art. Almost akin to the turning point when the Hulk would become the Maestro. Congratulations on this stunning piece.
