Chameleon Boy by David Williams

David Williams was one of the first artists that I ever commissioned, way back in my first year of art collecting, and I've wanted another commission from him ever since. Well, I finally got the opportunity this year and I was all over it! For this one I asked David to draw the Legionnaire of his choice, and he chose Mr. Reep Daggle! I really should have guessed that David would pick Chameleon Boy. After all, Cham was the star of the only Legion story that David has illustrated (so far) - Legion of Super-Heroes (1989) #33. Cham looks awesome here. I love his face and it's determined look. Also, those eyes are just so piercing! And of course the tentacled arm looks great, and makes me wonder what he's about to do with those things. David always does beautiful color work with markers, and the shading here is just gorgeous. Huge thanks to David for again delivering another incredible commission!
