This is one of those very rare pieces of original artwork in which each and every panel is either great or, at least, very good.

Original artwork for World's Finest Comics #264 page 8 (DC, 1980) by the extraordinary talent of Don Newton (pencils) and sublime finishes by Dave Hunt (inks). This page has it all, absolutely superb shots of Mary Marvel in full flight as she brings her brother Billy Batson into the path of Shazam's magic lightning bolt to turn the young boy into the World's Mightiest Mortal - Captain Marvel. And now, it is Mary and Captain Marvel standing against Black Adam and an army - 50,000 to Two. They better go get more men.

This wonderful piece of art is a prime example of the remarkable skill of Newton, which showcases his talents as a seasoned draftsman along with his epic vision for these legendary heroes.
