DescriptionAbsolutely stunning half-splash original artwork for Justice League of America #64 (DC, 1968) by fan favorite Dick Dillin (pencils) and seasoned finisher, Syd Greene (inks). Landmark key issue is highlighted by Dillin's first work on this title, which begins with a BANG for the classic story "The Stormy Return of the Red Tornado," written by legendary Golden-Age scribe Gardner Fox and marks the very first appearance of the Silver-Age Red Tornado. The volatile "Crimson Swirler" is determined to show off his amazing powers and abilities and prove his mettle to the Justice Society of America (created by Fox way back in All-Star Comics #3) members, which include the Golden-Age Flash, Starman and the beautiful Black Canary. The dynamic, action-packed melee just does not stop and is on full display in each and every outrageously great panel herein.Vintage artwork from the Silver-Age that offers the first appearance of a super-hero is very rare, especially a page of such quality from one of the most memorable issues of this historic series. Finally, another collector who loves Red Tornado as much as myself. He's like The Vision, Data, and Terminator all rolled into one just trying to be like the rest of us. Dillin is so good at showcasing these powers on the page.

I love the Red Tornado. It's always nice to see a Reddy page. The Dillin / Greene combination was a great look !!

Amazing page from Dillin's first of 119 JLA issue in 1968 (until he died in 1980, working atissue #184). I always loved the Red Tornado as a child and the inks match perfect here.
