Done in 2008
Back in 2008, my friend Dave bought a lot of art from George. In appreciation George offered him 4 free sketches. Dave did not collect sketches, so he decided to keep only one for himself and offered the other three to his friends (including me). We were able to request our choice of character and of course I chose Supergirl.

It is the evening of the day
I got a sketch they offered Dave
Smiling face I can see
George did for me
I sit and watch as years go by

My riches can't buy everything
It was the year two thousand eight
All I hear is the sound
Remembering not around
I sit on sketch as years go by

She is the best thing of my day
I post the sketch and smile away
Doing things George used to do
They think are new
I sit and watch as tears go by

Fantastic portraiture capturing perfectly not only Kara's optimism, beauty, and sense of hope, but George's incredible talent and love for these characters (to say nothing of your friend's kindness and generosity)! Beautiful piece, Miki! Congrats!
