Description

God knows how Spirit of the Tao was a painfully bad read, probably one of the rare Image books I only bought for the art and stopped reading very quickly after the first issues.

But the art by Billy Tan, despite his faults as a young artist and obvious cast-in-the-Top-Cow-mold, was quite lovely and full of energy.

This cover always struck me by its simple design and great execution. The eye obviously notices the beautiful sexy girl in the water first and then pays attention to the nasty little dragons coming from below. A beautiful and sensuous cover becomes a horrific image in the end.

Quite simple and as often when simplicity is used in a cover, quite powerful.
