Description

Wallace Wood: Cannon Comic Strip #C100 Original Art (Wood and Richter, 1973). Wallace Wood proved himself one of the most talented and hard-working artists of the Silver Age. From 1970-74, Wood wrote and drew Cannon, an adventure strip designed for a newspaper distributed exclusively to military bases. Cannon is a dehumanized killer "wet-works" agent for the US government, and most of his adventures were spiced with beautiful, busty women -- usually nude for little reason at all. This adventure was created in ink and Zipatone over blue pencil, on two separate sheets of Bristol board, with a combined image area of 16.75" x 20.75". The logo is a printed paste-up.
OBS! Wood cameo in the last panel. With a cigaret of course.
Also, the names Reese, Hama and Wenzel sound familiar.

Wood is great with linework and inking suggesting a world of adventure, intrigue, seduction, and espionage! The artform taken to new heights in atmosphere and cool.
