Description

This is the original drawing (Title: "Impasse") done for a portfolio (title: "People") that was published in Denmark by Bogfabrikken in the late 90's (250 signed pieces were printed). The portfolio contains a total of 15 beautiful charcoal plates introduced by a signed pen/ink table.

I have seen "Impasse" published even on a drawing manual produced after the death of Eisner, but I can't recall the title. Anyway, it was a good choice, I would say: it's a wonderful anatomy study on "not-too-thin" subjects - say, the moment when Eisner's art met Botero style.

This piece is quite big, moreless the same size of an oversized page of comic book (most notably, the same size of the Kirby Hunger Dogs page you can see in this galley).
