Description

This page has a great Romita Sr. feeling to me... comes from "Lifeline", one of my son preferred Spidey reads for years (was published in Italy in a single book, that was teared to pieces by the kid, reading and rereading it). Guest starring: Hammerhead in suit (and chains), Jameson screaming and yelling, Doc Strange famous window and finally Dr. Connors (with his son saying about Spidey flying away, "He's so cool!"). No way you can go closer than this to pure silver age... as I said before, everything Steve Rude does is an instant classic, but it's never common.

I agree - Rude manages to channel the best Silver Age artists - sometimes Kirby, sometimes, Ditko, sometimes Romita Sr. - but each time manages to make it his own. Excellent page!!

Another great example of Steve Rude's awesome artwork. And besides, of a great story, too.

Another beautiful example of Rude's ability to infuse so much life into scenes. Terrific poses on all characters, big and small, great line work, and excellent storytelling. Also love his take on Strange's Greenwich Village mansion! Great page, congrats!
