I traded this piece of great looking art, which was tough (ouch, this hurt), to add something new to the collection.

Jim Starlin writing + Ron Lim artwork = Marvel Cosmic perfection! My 3rd Starlin/Lim cosmic page and my first with the Silver Surfer. Loved this run and very happy to add a nice page to my collection. Love the scene here with Surfer contemplating how to track his elusive quarry, Thanos, across the cosmos. Thanks D!

Amazing pickup Dave! Ron Lim was synonomous with Silver Surfer for all of my childhood and what an awesome page with Surfer in every panel - huge congrats!

Classic Surfer page - comtemplating amongst the stars :) Nice shots of him in different perspective and scale in the panels throughout and the inner monologue is cool, too. All adds up to a sweet SS example. Congrats!

Introspective Surfer in space trying to figure out how to catch the bad guy (Thanos!) in all 8 panels by Lim? Um, yes, please. What an awesome SS page! This is the formula for a lot of the best Surfer work. Congrats!

While I am late to the party, I can still post. I like your write-up in the description. It is short, sweet, and succint and very germane to today's 1990s collector/investor. The Starlin and Lim combination was a true blessing. While Ron had the pencilling chores since issue 15 with his very dynamic style, it was Starlin's story and writing skills that placed this Thanos resurgent storyline into pop culture history with Ron's pencilling.

There's a long list of legends who've worked on Silver Surfer, but Ron Lim - in my opinion - perfected the ethos and appearance of this character. Plus, does anybody do space backgrounds better than Lim? Congrats!!!

Thanks Kevin, I heartily agree. And Ron was able to bring a fresh look, made surfer look even "shinier" with his technique. The visuals left quite an impression on me.
