DescriptionMore 90s art for your viewing pleasure!Fun fact that nobody knows (or likely cares): I completed my Iron Man 1-current comic collection prior to completing my Hulk 102-current comic collection back in the pre-art days. This to say - I am a huge Iron Man fan, second to only our favorite Jade Giant. I cut my Iron Man teeth on Romita Jr and Layton artwork which set the bar very high visually. It wasn't until Sean Chen's Iron Man that I appreciated viewing Iron Man comics as I did with the BL/JRjr run. I really appreciated Shen's linework and how he captured reflection in the armor. Was very happy to pick up this action-packed page pitting shellhead against the Whiplash who is showing off his new bondage looking outfit. Social/Sharing |

Cool page! But for a second there, I thought I was in the wrong gallery. You have to warn me when you post non-Hulk art, buddy. I'm old and easily confused. LOL

B ig battle page in the book!
I ron Man interior panels done right!
L ashing action that makes it look like Iron Man is getting his behind whipped!
L ithe lineweights provide flexibility in the armor!
A wesome Whiplash image that gave us plenty of costume ideas!
S ean Chen can always get Iron Man armor and smooth leather outfit textures right!
H eight of Iron Man revival art after he reclaimed his standing, flying high from Heroes Reborn.

Wonderful page from my personal favorite Iron Man run. I'll read anything by Chen given his great storytelling ability.

Sean Chen always impresses me, and the inkers did a fabulous job here too. Iron Man looks fantastic!!

Bring out the Gimp! Agreed all around about JRJR/Layton/Chen. Tony had some marginal artwork for a few years there, but Chen brought the fire. And what a fun battle page. Iron Man's look when he feels the lash in that last panel is almost funny. No domination for Mr. Stark, thank you very much. Congrats!

Yo! Right there with you, man. When I think Iron Man the 2 runs that come up for me are the Bright/Layton Silver Centurion run starting with #200, and the Heroes Return Chen run. Absolutely loved his work on this series and you got a nice example of why! All out action. Multiple splashes on the one board here! Congrats!
