Description

2nd of 2 Black Panther (BP) posts tonight acquired from the recent Heroes Con. Was a little bummed I missed out on a Kirby BP page on eBay this past weekend so thought I�d post a couple of my own BP pieces!

This is a variant but Wilfredo also did the interiors for this issue. Marvel did �The Story Thus Far� variants and this was one for BP. A nice central image of the title character but also got the Crew on the bottom and Wakandan figures in the background. I�ve really enjoyed writer Coates�s run so I�m glad to have picked up a published piece from one of the interior artists � Stelfreeze�s work has been completely digital and I�m looking for the right Sprouse piece.

Also, I got all of the prelims with this buy! I�ve attached images of each of those from initial layout to tightening up to outright changes. For example, Marvel wanted Tetu and Shuri more prominently featured so you can see how their headshots were swapped to the top. Also, Wilfredo told me he didn�t realize that Storm would have her Mohawk look, so he had to draw a patch to swap that image out. Love hearing from the artists about the progression of a piece�even better to see �em�and even better to own �em! I�ve got the same kind of multi-board batch with my Hitch Ultimate FF #1 cover � check it out!

Torres is a bit hit & miss with me so far but this is a nice cover

I gotcha. I think his cleaner style works best in the closer shots where he does a great job of conveying emotion in the faces. The featured image here is the central BP, which is awesome, but my favorite may be the Shuri at the top right...just an excellent head shot. Thanks, as well as others, for the comments!

One of the coolest covers from Torres! Love all the extras and it was great seeing this in person at Heroes.
