DescriptionSecond post today from the ASM: Venom, Inc. arc, and this one features the anti-hero for which said arc was named. Got a big hulking version of Venom in the center followed by another great torso image. Ryan got a backgrounds assist here but I’m good because what I really dug about this page was the 2 different faces on Venom. In the first you’ve got a face forward shot with a smile filled with jagged teeth. In that bottom image, more of a worm’s eye perspective with a clenched teeth grin – great stuff! I hadn’t gotten a piece with Ryan’s depiction of Venom yet so it’s nice to have checked that off…though I’m not saying I’m done, by any means ;)Thanks, Ryan, and Paolo at Cadence Comic Art! Good point, Riz. Venom is one of those characters that has a defining look (the grin, the big chest spider, etc.) but is also a character that allows for artists to lean in on their own interpretations of that look. You’re right - Ryan doesn’t disappoint, and he’s currently going further with it in the new Venom series. Thanks, man, and all others, for the comments!

Ah, a little surprise tête-à-tête with Venom. Not unsettling at all to flip a light switch and see THAT staring you in the face, haha! Really nice page.

Man, I love, love, love this page. Seeing Venom crunched up like that really showcases just how much muscle is on his frame. Venom's body language in that bottom panel is super fun, too. Lots of white space here but the figures and perspectives are super effective.
