DescriptionI remember seeing this cover and just thinking “WHOA!” To me, it’s one of those pieces that immediately just jumps off the page and after spending some time looking further, you can see why. Cory Smith BRINGIN' it!I always like the worm’s eye view and here it really makes the character, amusingly nicknamed the Hulkverine, look imposing. The size of the character obviously does that, too :) Those whites in the eyes (reds in the colored image - included below) also add to the effectiveness, especially as it seems they’re pointed right at the viewer. The running pose with popped claims surrounded by the explosion and cracking ground below really close this out as a killer cover image. Oh, and there are the meticulous inks, too! The standard covers for the series are done by Leinil Yu and some variants by others, and they’re cool in their own right, but this is definitely my favorite so far. Plus, to me, it’s always a cool pick up if you can get a cover from the artist that does the interiors. Old school, that way, I guess! If you haven’t checked out Weapon H, I’d recommend it. Just a fun, no frills book, with some great looking art by Cory. Thanks, all, for looking and thanks, Cory and Paolo, for the pages! Social/Sharing |

Now that's a scarey combination. He can punch you to the moon and when you land you will also be sliced up in tiny pieces.
Amazing image. Great cover you have acquired here.

Lol that is terrifying.
Great energy.
Ha ha I think that may have been the point, Kyle...in a good way! The comments up til now: scary, terrifying, massive, gravity...it all works! Thanks, all, for your adds! Definitely one of my new favorite modern pieces!

Awesome! It’s oversized in all the right areas! The figure fills the page perfectly and I love the gravity of the figure coming right at my face!

I hate derivatives and there is no reason I should like Weapon H but I have to say I have enjoyed the series a lot and this is an awesome piece! Bravo!

I hear you, Jason. A Hulk/Wolverine mix seems a little too easy but I've liked what Pak's done and really liked Cory's art, paricularly this piece! Cory, must've too, as he's using it for his convention banner! Thanks for the comment!
