DescriptionMy first Di Vito add! Picked this up along with a few other pieces from Super Pals Art here on CAF.I first took note of Di Vito’s work on the World War Hulk: X-Men mini but wasn’t actively colleting art yet. Still looking for a nice example from that series but when this Black Panther one-shot was released I inquired right away…so here we are! An imposing image of the King! He’s gearing up on the page prior and here’s the big reveal. It’s cool that the published page (see additional image) has the caption “The Black Panther!” on it, too. I like the hunched pose (really works for BP) and the thin eyes…watch out, whatever’s in the Panther’s path! Ends up being one of his main baddies, Klaw, in a story that’s pretty straight forward but provides some nice images of one of my fave characters, this being tops among them. Andrea also threw in a head sketch (see in additional images) as it took him a bit to send the piece to me. Honestly wasn’t that long...but I’ll take it :) Thanks, Andrea and Super Pals! Great "prowling" posture on the Panther. Sweet addition to the collection, K! For the love of everything that's great about original comic art though, Super Pals, please explain to Andrea, in the nicest way possible, that using markers to fill in the solid black areas is a huge no-no!

Appreciate that , John. Yup, I’ve made some big strides in the last couple of years on the BP collection front, including this bad boy. Definitely happy with the progress! And as always, thanks for the comments, all!

THAT us so badass! I know you've been looking to get a piece by Andrea for a while now- and you certainly couldn't have scored a better Black Panther splash! It looks amazing colored too- maybe get a high res print of the color version and frame them side by side?
A great addition to your collection! Congratulations!

You've got a few nice Di Vito pieces yourself ;) Being a BP fan and wanting a Di Vito piece...was kinda a no brainer! Not a bad idea regarding the original and published being framed side by side - I've actually done it with some pieces already but only so much wall space, y'know?! Thanks, Jason!

First of all a great, classic looking BP. Second, wonderful Di Vito. Long been a huge fan but nearly all the art is pencil only and rarely see it inked. Bravo!

Yeah, makes it a little tough when you prefer inked pieces, which I do, too, for the most part. Though some of that pencil work, particularly on his Thing run, is pretty awesome. And from what I understand this splash was the only fully done/inked page from this book - the rest were finished digitally. And cover in pencil. So glad to have nabbed it!
