Description

This one was a long time coming and checked a couple items off the long-wanted list. My first silver age twice up page and first Kirby. The twice up size is impressive, and I can see myself acquiring more of these going forward. I really like the scene with Banner nearly transformed into a full Hulk able to fight off the transformation with a tranquilizer. Interesting to see how it was initially published with a slight green hue and how it was first reprinted Marvel Superheroes with a fully green near-Hulk (see page below). Also included is an image from another reprinting of part of the page in Marvel saga 20 pg 24.

Another big consideration was to see what appears to be an editorial comment by Stan on the margin telling Jack that Talbot�s pants are not black. Gotta love an early Marvel page from my favorite character done in the Marvel method by The Man and The King.

Huge thanks to Grant for agreeing to let me be the custodian of this page and for the perfect transaction, not to mention the copies of the TTA and Marvel Superheroes issues thrown in the package as a great surprise.

Congrats on this awesome page buddy! Great dialog on a very dramatic sequence. Twice up Silver Age Kirby page. Hope I get to check off that box in my lifetime. Enjoy this and thanks for sharing.

BIG congrats! First Kirby page is always huge, particularly when involving your favorite character like here! Great example of the time and I like that bonus there by Stan :) Always cool when it comes to OA. Congrats again!

Fantastic addition! A Kirby Silver Age page is a crowning gem in any collection. I love that dialogue too, and now I want to know what those powdery forms turn into in that last panel!

Gorgeous Silver Age beauty by Kirby! This page rocks even though we never see the Hulk. Banner's struggle to remain human is all the tension we need. Great pick-up!
