DescriptionAnyone who knows me, knows that I am a big fan of …Hulk art Hulk vs Hulk art A good DPS A Hulk transformation scene Ed McGuinness pencils Mark Farmer inks And when you add all these elements together, you get this stunning piece done as part of the action packed 600th anniversary Hulk issue! Done by Ed during the height of the Hulk vs the newly introduced “Red Hulk” series, this huge image is a brilliant example of why this series was so much fun. The pages of this story provided the ultimate opportunity for Ed to flex his artistic muscle on a favorite gamma powered monster – times 2 with the introduction of the new “Red Hulk” character … later revealed to be General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. A Massive example of Hulk vs Hulk art with Ross trying to drain the Hulk out of Banner in a “you don’t deserve this power” moment which has Hulk in a reverse transformation into a passed-out Banner with MODOK watching. Mark Farmer’s inks are amazingly bold and the Kirby crackle is perfectly done! I have picked up a lot of art from this series as it seemed to be readily available for the first 5-10 years after the issues were released. Unfortunately, the pages aren’t made available as much these days, with the pickups coming fewer and farther between. Always looking for more so please feel free to reach out if you have any leads. Agreed, i remember thinking to myself that i hope Dexter stayed on inks for the run, and then Mark started doing inks. Loved both of their work on the series!

Yup, certainly checks all those boxes. But it's the Farmer inks that does it for me here. Great DPS buddy! Congrats!

Red vs Green action! Love how the panels go diagonal as Hulk transforms. Throw in Modok and this an outstanding DPS. Congrats Dave!

Why can't these two Hulks be friends? Underneath their Crayola skin color, they are both the same rage, bone, and gamma radiation as any other Hulk

This one ticks a lot of boxes as you mentioned. I love seeing Ed's Hulk work. Fantastic DPS from a BIG issue!

I've seen this one in person at a con and I regret not picking it up! But it's great to see it here in your collection on CAF, man! That first panel is outstanding - can't beat not 1, but 2 Hulks, let alone in a battle, as rendered by McGuinness! That decreasingly sized panel layout, moving down as you move right is perfect, too, to match what's going on in-panel. Congrats!
