DescriptionSavage! If there was a battle between 2 bestial characters, like this, both with healing factors…this is probably what it would look like. I’ve picked up some of Di Vito’s published work (great stuff!) but also wanted a commission. Quite separately, I’ve wanted a Wolvie vs. Sabretooth commission. So, there you go – done! 2 birds killed with this one, and I didn’t have to make a request :)It’s a big piece at 11x17. Love the poses, and the inks are really tight, which is clear when looking over all the bloody detailing. I also like that Andrea added grey tones in the background – provides some nice contrast in setting the scene. I dig when artists make it clear that Creed is much bigger than Logan, like here, and I also like that he’s in the classic brown and tan costume. Look at how Logan’s got both claws going through Creed’s head while Creed is ripping into his side…whew…brutally good stuff. Could be a cover IMO but may be just a little too graphic for Marvel :) Thanks, Andrea, and dealer Fred for helping me to check a couple collector boxes with this beaut! Social/Sharing |

That's right, Troy! I know you recently picked up some Di Vito pieces yourself so can appreciate the goodness! Thanks, all, for the comments!

FATALITY! At the very least, Creed is going to have problems recalling his ATM pin...!
A fantastic piece by Andrea- there's such great motion here- you can see how Creed just knocked Logan off his feet but Logan got the killing blows!
Too brutal for Marvel? More like too AWESOME for Marvel!

Hahaha, I love the bit about the ATM pin. Gave me a good laugh. Yeah, if you are going to portray a battle between these two berserker powerhouses, especially given their long history and intense hatred for each other, ya have to go all out, and this artist does just that. Great grab!

Yeah, Creed will more than likely come back due to his healing factor but at minimum he's gonna have a headache. And a faceache. And probably some memory lapses, at least for a spell :)
I know you're a big Di Vito fan, Jason, so do appreciate the add, man! And thanks, too, for starting the petition to get Marvel to use this as a cover ;)

When I read this I couldn’t help but think of that line from the movie The Hangover - “In th face! In the faaaace!” :) Not the exact same words, but close, and probably said with the same fervor :) Thanks, Gerry - you’ve got a lot of great Logan vs. Creed pieces yourself by some great artists with those sequential jams you’ve been doing!

This is just brilliant! Coming from Andrea, I'm not surprised, but he perfectely captured the rivalry between these two.

Thanks, Doc, totally agree! And I think your Di Vito Conan is one of the best in your claim the Iron Throne collection!

As beautiful as it is savage. And I agree with you, love the separation between background and foreground.
